Ban Jumps Racing campaignJumps racing is a form of horseracing run over longer distances than flat races and with heavier jockeys. It requires horses to jump typically, as many as thirty-three fixed obstacles. For decades jumps racing has created a major horse welfare concern due to the cruel nature of the sport which involves horses falling and suffering severe injuries resulting in death. Kangaroo CampaignAfter being contacted by a whistleblower within the kangaroo industry, Animal protection groups from around Australia rallied together to expose the cruelty, contamination & dwindling numbers of certain kangaroo species who are slaughtered for a niche export market where profits are earnt by a select few. Get Pets out of Pet ShopsAustralia has the highest rate of pet ownership in the world and pets play an important role in our society. However there is a disturbing aspect to pet ownership. Department of Local Government and RSPCA statistics indicate that over 60,000 dogs and cats are killed each year in NSW alone. The Life of Broiler ChickensEvery year in Australia more than 320 million chickens are raised and killed for their meat, these are known as broilers. The vast majority of chicken meat comes from chickens raised in crowded sheds. These sheds house 10,000-20,000 birds at one time. Featured News
