Councils to be congratulated for banning the use of caged eggs. An increasing number of councils in NSW are voting to ban caged eggs on the grounds of cruelty. 18 Councils so far in NSW have shown courage and compassion in passing these motions and several have voted to have a meat free day per month in recognition of the harm to animals, the environment and human health.
Those councils are: Lismore, Lane Cove, Marrickville, Randwick, Cessnock, Holroyd, Newcastle, Parramatta, Hornsby, Sydney, North Sydney, Leichhardt, Mosman, Manly, Waverley, Warringah, Byron, Coffs Harbour and Shoalhaven
